Multi Rig – By George West.

Hi Folks.

Here is another carp rig for you. It is called the Multi Rig. This rig works best with Pop up baits that sit up proud from the bottom of the lake.
This is the tackle that you will need to make this rig.

Tackle List:

ESP MK2 Stiff Rigger Hooks
Size 1 split shot
Kryston Heavy Metal Putty
Sufix Camfusion Hook Link
ESP Bait Floss
Korda Lead Clips
Korda Rig Rings
Korda Tail Rubbers
Korda Ring Swivels

Cut off 12” of Camfusion hook link and tie a medium sized loop in the end. Do not strip and of the coating from the hook link.

Next burn the tag end of the line until it bubbles and with a wet finger dampen the end of the line to create a ball of melted line, then when you squeeze on a split shot it will stop at the end of the line against the ball and not slip off.

Next add Heavy Metal putty to the split shot, this will enable you to adjust the weight of the shot to match the pop up.

Next slide your hook onto the loop backwards facing.

Then slide on your rig ring.

Double your loop back over your hook.

The slide the eye of the hook towards the end of the loop.

You can now see how the rig will sit on the bottom.

Now attach your pop up of choice to your rig ring with the bait floss.

Attach the other end of your rig to you line via a Korda lead clip and tail rubber set up.

I then use a Fluorocarbon leader to the line weighted down with more putty.

Here is a 26lb 2oz Ringwood mirror carp fish that I landed on this rig.
