The weather is cooling off but the fishing isn’t.

We are currently working on two very exciting projects at the moment and this is the reason that we have not posted on our news page for quite some time. Bells Of Hythe Online is our new ecommerce website that will be released next year and we believe it will be a fantastic replacement for Bells Of Hythe . Com.

We aim to have video features and a whole host of new Sea Fishing products at very sensible prices.

We are also working on the latest version of our What Fish UK Smartphone App. The App is having a complete facelift and many new sections are being added!!

We have seen a lot of fish caught around Southampton water this week and the cooling of the weather has not affected the fishing.

First up is local angler Simon Wells with this fantastic 8lb 8oz Bass caught from Hythe on Saturday night.
The fish was caught on a two hook flapper rig with Ragworm as bait.

Simon with his 8lb 8oz Bass.

Next we see the top three anglers from the Bells Of Hythe Shore Angling Club weigh-in on Saturday.
The competition venue was Magazine Lane in Marchwood and it proved to be a great comp.
Every angler registered fish and the prize winning places were as follows.

1st Place Mr Paull Curtice
2nd Place Mr Olly Hopkins
3rd Place Mr Stephen Carter

The biggest fish of the comp went to Mr Stephen Carter, his Smoothhound won him an additional £30 worth of fishing tackle sponsored by the What Fish UK Smartphone App.

Finally we see Mr Ben Whitlock with his Solent caught Cod. The fish weighing in at 12lb is Bens first Cod of the year. Fishing at West Lepe Bouy, Ben used Squid and Cuttlefish to catch this fish on board a private boat skippered by Rob Wallis.

For those of you interested in beach fishing competitions Bells Of Hythe Shore Angling Club are running the November competition on the 24th and will be fishing Lepe Beach Deep Water section from 3pm until 10pm.

Call us at the shop for more details.

Many Thanks.
